BillBag ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect when you use the BillBag mobile application and website, how that data is used, stored, and protected, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Collect
To provide you with invoicing, catalog management, and PDF generation, we collect the following information:
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we collect your unique user identifier (UID), name, and email address provided by your authentication provider.
- Business Profile Data: Business name, contact phone number, email, address, GSTIN, state code, UPI ID, bank account details, and business logo/signature images that you choose to display on your invoices.
- Catalog & Customer Data: Customer names, phone numbers, billing addresses, GSTINs, catalog item names, standard rates, units of measurement, and HSN/SAC codes.
- Invoices & Transaction Records: Generated bill numbers, dates, line items, discounts, tax calculations, payment status (Paid/Unpaid/Partial), and payment history notes.
- Crash & Performance Diagnostics: Anonymized crash logs and diagnostics collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us identify and fix bugs.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information strictly for the following purposes:
- To create, format, render, share, and print PDF invoices for your business.
- To calculate accurate sub-totals, CGST/SGST/IGST taxes, and invoice summaries.
- To securely sync your invoices, customers, and catalog across your signed-in devices.
- To provide offline-first availability so you can continue billing without an internet connection.
- To monitor application stability and resolve technical defects.
4. Third-Party Services & Infrastructure
We work with trusted industry providers to operate the application securely:
- Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Crashlytics): Used for secure cloud database storage, authentication, and crash reporting. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In: Used for secure, frictionless authentication without requiring you to maintain a separate password.
We do not use any third-party tracking frameworks, ad-tech SDKs, or data brokers.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your business records and generated bills are stored securely in Google Cloud / Firebase data centers with encryption at rest and TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit. Strict database security rules ensure that only your authenticated account can access, modify, or view your business records.
6. Account & Data Deletion (User Control)
You maintain full ownership of your data. You may edit or delete individual bills, customers, and items at any time within the app.
Complete Account Deletion: If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated records, you can do so directly within the app at any time by navigating to:
Selecting "Delete Account" immediately and permanently removes your business profile, all invoices, catalog items, customer directories, and authentication records from our servers. This action is irrevocable.
7. Children's Privacy
BillBag is a business tool designed for merchants and professionals and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy. If any material changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and notify users within the app.
